On August 20, 2020, Stephen Ross Johnson presented at the Knoxville Bar Association Corporate Counsel Ethics Seminar on security issues with cloud storage and video conferencing. He discussed platforms like Zoom, Teams, GoToMeeting, WhatsApp, Slack, Dropbox, OneDrive, etc. and offered advice on why lawyers advising businesses as in-house and external counsel need to understand how these platforms are used, the security issues and potential liability involved, and how to address any concerns that may arise in a number of areas, to include responding to a federal criminal investigation.
